Power Grid Corporation IPO Analysis

Read the detailed analysis of Power Grid IPO. This is one of the few IPOs I personally like. A great play on India’s power sector. The company enjoys a near monopoly in inter state transmission and is expected to reap great benefits when power trading is allowed in the coming months. This might be a good option to park your money in these volatile times.

No stock falls under that category.
Of course, if the stocks you hold continue to rise during your lifetime, then you might not sell them 🙂

This is one of the stocks which would fall under the category – buy never to sell.

    What say Sage …

    hmm..
Then the best way to make money on this might be to pick it up on listing day and trade it for couple of days.
And after the initial euphoria dies down, add the stock to your long term portfolio.

Guess I hurried on to my prediction. IPO picked up really well lately, and is now almost 60x subscribed.

Phew … another IPO turning into lottery!

So QIBs might drive the stock after its listing!
It also proves that not many retail guys are reading my blog 🙂

The nifty details looks interesting (as of 1pm 13th Sept). QIBs seem to be most bullish over this IPO. Retail investors it appears have given a pass to this one. Looks like anyone who applied at cut-off price will get something in retail category.
